Confidentiality and Cross Infection Policy

Flint and Flint Dental Surgeons take both of these issues extremely seriously.

We provide the highest standard in cross infection control. As many disposable items as possible are used for single use and all other instruments are sterilised in an autoclave. All areas are disinfected following each treatment.

In our surgery environment, specific areas that are touched by a dentist during treatment are covering by plastic. This is then discarded after every treatment,

We are a member of the British Dental Association’s good practice scheme. This scheme audits the practice to ensure we maintain standards across the dental field. We were one of the first practices in Sheffield to join this scheme since it started in 2002.

All details from our patients are confidential and are governed by the same laws as your medical records. Our members of staff sign a confidentiality clause as part of their contract of employment.
